Anthemion Award Presented to Diamond Contracting, Inc.

Anthemion Awards recognize outstanding dedication and commitment to excellence in historic preservation in Wake County. The name “Anthemion” was inspired by a classical design element seen on many Wake County buildings, including the State Capitol dome in Raleigh.

According to CAP President & CEO, Gary G. Roth, this year’s class of award winners is the largest since the program began in 1994. “In a time of economic stress,” said Roth, “it is a testament to the good economic value of historic preservation that so many individuals, corporations and municipal governments have chosen to rehabilitate and reuse historic properties rather than demolish and replace.”  Winners of this year’s Anthemion Awards include:

Diamond Contracting, Inc.
Citation for 2009 Anthemion Award
